Spencer Stepp

January 23, 1980 - December 20, 2020

Spencer O’Neil Stepp, the son of the late Lonnie Dale Stepp and Lorna Jane Davis was born on January 23rd, 1980 in Sherman, TX. Spencer passed from this life at his home in Norman, OK on December 20, 2020 at the age of 40. Spencer was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who left this world to soon and will be dearly missed. Spencer is survived by his daughter Carter Tate of Norman OK, his mother Lorna Davis and stepfather Ron Davis of Wichita, KS, a brother, Aaron and sister-in-law, Jennifer Stepp of Edmond, OK, two nieces Raigan and Addison Stepp and a nephew Palmer Stepp, two stepbrothers and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Spencer graduated from Plainview High School in Ardmore, OK in 1998. He was a natural born athlete who loved training for gymnastics meets and playing on baseball and soccer teams with his brother. He also had a love for rock climbing, skiing, hiking, disc golf, and never let an opportunity to visit the Rocky Mountains pass him by. Anyone who knew Spencer knew he had a love for music and could be found at any outdoor music venue anytime of the year. When he was not enjoying the great outdoors, he was enjoying life at his favorite spots around Norman. His friends and family remember him has a person who always had a smile, hug, or an opinion to share. He never left a conversation without saying “love you brother or love you sister”. Fly high Spence you will forever be in our hearts and memories. The family would like to thank Dan and Lisa Sorrells of Norman, OK who loved Spencer as a their own. A celebration of life will be held in Norman OK in the Spring of 2021, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in the memory of Spencer to Norman Parks and Recreation (Sooner Disc Golf Course) or Rocky Mountain Conservancy (rmconservancy.org)
