Sarah Small

March 6, 1930 - February 14, 2022

Sarah Louise Small, 91 years of age, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022. Sarah was born on March 6, 1930, in Miami Oklahoma to Frank and Mary Kraybill. Sarah lived all around the southwest while raising her two boys. She settled in Oklahoma City in the 1970’s and became a Registered Head Floor Nurse at Deaconess Hospital until her retirement in the early 1990’s. She made many wonderful friends and great memories at Deaconess. Sarah loved to read novels and work crossword puzzles. She loved trading books with her friends and usually had a crossword puzzle with her she was close to finishing. She also enjoyed going to the horse races and bingo with her wonderful friend Carla (her hairdresser for many, many years), as well as others from Carla’s Curly Q. They had many adventurous trips together! Sarah is survived by her sons Tom Small (Susan) and Chris Small; her grandchildren Katy Carris (Jordan), Chris Small (April), Evan Small (Mariah), and Ryan Small (Cammi); and great grandchildren Max Carris, Wyatt Carris, Colt Carris, Kinsley Small, Willow Small & Hannah Small, and two more on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Howard, Mary & Bobby and many nieces and nephews. Sarah’s family would like to thank Stone Creek Memory Care of Edmond and Good Shepherd Hospice of Oklahoma City for their exceptional loving care of Sarah in her last days on earth. A celebration of life will be Saturday, February 19th in the chapel at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery 7801 N.W. Expressway, OKC. Viewing will be from 12:15p to 12:45p and services begin at 1:00p.
