Robert Burns

April 4, 1940 - February 25, 2022

Robert Llewllyn Burns, 81, of Edmond, OK, and Veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully at home, Friday evening, February 25, 2022. Bob was born on April 4, 1940, in Muskogee, OK to Robert and Alma (Haas) Burns. Bob graduated from Forest Hill High School in California in 1958. Following high school, Bob enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for 3 years, before being honorably discharged. Following his time in the military, Bob continued his education at the University of Arkansas, graduating in 1972, with his bachelor's degree in accounting. Bob would put forth this knowledge into a lifelong career in both finance and accounting, with the last 15 years serving as a Master Tax Advisor at H&R Block. In 1986, Bob married the love of his life, Karen (Meier) in Lake Tahoe, culminating their love story and beginning a 34 year Wonderful marriage. Bob spent most of his time of leisure, reading, playing poker, working in his garden (where Bob was known to have a green thumb), or simply enjoying a cigar. Bob is survived by his 4 children: sons, John Burns and Gene Burns and fiancé, Staci; daughter, Dorianna Pena; son, William Joseph (Jake) Wall, II and his wife Mendi; grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan, Jacob, Tallon, Kobe, Casey, Joshua, Nicholas, Riley, and great-granddaughter, Karter. Bob was preceded in passing by his Wonderful wife of over 34 years, Karen, and his parents, Robert, and Alma. Services to remember and celebrate Bob's life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Crawford Family Funeral Service at 1:00PM. Military Honors will be under the conduction of the United States Army.
