Gary Lynn Smith, 71, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away July 24, 2022, from natural causes. Gary was born January 11th, 1951, to Leroy and Johnalene Smith in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Gary spent his childhood in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He graduated from Pauls Valley High School where he played football and wrestled. Gary attended East Central University. Gary was employed by Lone Star Natural Gas Company where he worked for nearly three decades ending his career with the company as Director of Operations for the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex area. Gary also established the businesses of Deer Creek Day Ranch, a childcare and preschool facility, and Papa G’s grill and restaurant. He enjoyed private piloting, motorcycles, and horseback riding. Gary spent a lot of time with dogs, Ky and Pepper, along with his horse, Weaver Gary and Moyett (Whalen) Smith were married December 29th, 1969. They were married for 53 years. Gary is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Moyett, Sister, LaDonna Campbell, Children, Shelley Smith, Brent Smith, Jase Smith, and Grandchildren, Scott, Marissa, Alex, Mark, N’kya, and Blessyn. He is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
