Evelyn Ruth Carpenter Elliott died Friday at 11:47PM on October 22nd, 2021. She was born to Donald Robbins Carpenter and Edna Ruth Casey Carpenter at St. Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK on March 11th, 1927. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School in 1946. She was a career Federal Employee and retired from Tinker Aerospace Center in 1985. She married Orley Elliott on August 29th, 1958. Together, they made a home for forty-six years. She is predeceased by her husband, Orley; daughters, Annetta Shelley, Orlene Geno; sons James Elliott, and William Elliott; as well as grandsons James and Wesley Goodman. She is also predeceased by her parents; sister, Julia Williams; brother, Donald R. Carpenter and his wife, NaDean; sister, Janet and her husband, Joe Pearson. She is survived by her children: Nadine Deffes; and son David Elliott and wife, Traci. She is also survived by grandchildren: Kenneth Goodman & wife, Vickie; Linda Escobedo & husband, George; Dana Garcia; Jacqueline Ridley; Bivian Geno & husband, Eric Holmes; Julia Buckley & husband, Harvey; Bryan Deffes & wife, Denise; and Jessica, Andria, & Tess Elliott. Surviving Great-Grandchildren include Kenneth Goodman, Jr., Jennifer, Joe, & Julie Escobedo; Blaze Chavez, Reuben Chaves Jr., Sierra McElwain; Joshua, Jeremiah, & Caleb Buckley; Tristen Elliott, & J.C. Colbert; Kaci & Jakoby Vineyard, and Alexis & Thomas Deffes. Also surviving, are her brother, John H, Carpenter & wife, Carol; nieces: Kelli Alvarez, Robbin Trabucco, Donnie Ryan, Julia Carpenter, and Julie Koontz; nephews: Jack Williams, Callan & Scott Carpenter, John & Casey Carpenter, and Geoffrey Pearson. As well as a host of cherished relatives, and friends. She was an active member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for most of her life. She volunteered as a Red Cross Gray Lady, a Girl Scout Leader, Den Mother, Contact (HeartLine) Counselor, CARE Center Volunteer, and US District Court Volunteer for the trial of Timothy McVey. More recently, she also volunteered at Refuge Fellowship, the Regional Food Bank, and other activities at Southern Hills Christian Church. A service to remember and celebrate Evelyn's life will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00PM at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond, OK.
