Emilie "Ruth" Johnson

Emilie Ruth Johnson was born November 11, 1937, in Granite, Oklahoma to Woody and Fern Ward. She died on December 30, 2021, in Edmond, OK. Ruth, as she was known, was a simple lady who lived a life of faith full of prayer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Johnson. Ruth is survived by her husband, Seth Wroten Johnson, Jr; her son, Ricky Thur and wife Lindy; and 2 daughters, Cynthia Shaw and husband James and Deana Howard and husband Don. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dana Redden and husband Jason, Megan Thur, Rachel Bivans and husband Scot, Jacob Howard, Beth Richmond and husband Michael, Hannah Donwell and husband LeDarrius Donwell; as well as her great grandchildren, Riley Bivans, Sage Bivans, Abby Richmond, Braden Richmond, Lexi Donwell, and Tyson Donwell. A service honoring Ruth’s life will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond. ***UPDATE*** A graveside burial will be at 1pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City.
