July 30, 1946 - August 26, 2019
Services for Del will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Crawford Funeral Service Chapel with a reception following for family and friends. Delbert Raymond Sullivan, Jr., was born July 30, 1946 to Delbert R. Sullivan, Sr., and Z. Jeanette Sullivan. He passed away August 26, 2019, from complications related to diabetes. Del was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a proud Muskogee High Rougher Class of 1964. Del also served 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. After graduating from Northeastern State University in 1968, Del began a career in insurance. He started as an adjuster and retired as supervisor of claims. It was his career that took him to Beaumont and eventually Dallas, Texas. Del was an only child, so he was especially appreciative of the love and support from a network of lifelong friends from Muskogee and many from Texas and an extended family of cousins with whom he still kept in close touch. In retirement, Del moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to be closer to his daughter, Angie Sullivan and grandchildren, Sam Olson, Emily Olson, and Luke Olson. Del was blessed with a great love in his life Teresa Henry and her sons, Matthew, Simon, and Shane Henry. Del loved OU football, the Rolling Stones, a dirty joke, and to have fun. His robust laugh filled up the room. Del will be desperately missed by those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Oklahoma Humane Society in his honor. A service celebrating Del's life will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 14th at Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.
