Clarence LaVerne Moss

August 10, 1934 - April 30, 2022

Clarence LaVerne Moss, 87 years old, passed away on April 30, 2022, in Osage Beach, MO. He was the son of Roy and Fern Moss of Carthage, MO. He graduated from Alba High School, Alba, MO. Clarence served in the U. S. Air Force from 1954-1957. He married LaFern Locke in 1957. Clarence enjoyed music of all kinds, especially Count Basie, Tony Bennett, Bob Wills, Ray Price, and Merle Haggard. He also liked to travel to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, to Montana, and to Alaska, and took several Amtrak cross country tours. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaFern, in 2019. and also, by his brothers Donald and Charles. He is survived by daughters Lou Ann and Mike Moore of Phoenix, AZ, and Sharon and Kerry West of Frisco, TX; his grandsons Andrew and Jessi Moore, and Adam and Laura Moore of Edmond, OK, and Austin and Lanie Moore of Oklahoma City; and his great-grandchildren Jett, Rori, Ford, Liam and Lily, all of Edmond, OK. Clarence was a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Donations in his memory can be made to Boys Ranch Town, Edmond, OK. Visitation will be held prior to services Thursday, from 12:00PM-3:00PM, with the family of Clarence being present from 2:00PM-3:00PM. Interment will take Friday, May 6, 2022, at 10:00AM at Ft. Sill National Cemetery. Military honors will be under the condition of the United States Air Force.
