Ryan W. Smith was born in Edmond, OK on August 26, 1995 to Patricia Rue and Mikah Smith. He left this world to be with his lord and savior on October 12th, 2011 at the young age of 16. Ryan attended Carney School during his elementary and junior high years and then moved to Edmond where he completed his freshman year at Santa Fe and began his sophomore year at Edmond North. His love for sports was very evident, particularly in football and wrestling. Words that come to mind when thinking of Ryan would be “real” and “dedicated” especially when it came to his family, friends, and girlfriend, Aliana. His free time was often occupied by afternoons at the YMCA playing basketball or using the weights. Ryan was preceded in death by his father Mikah Smith. He is survived by his mother Patricia Rue of Texas; grandparents, Wayne and Jeri Lively (Edmond) and Alan and Donna Brent (Tuttle, OK); brothers, Taylor and Caleb Lively (Edmond) and Jon Murie (Cushing, OK); aunts and uncles, Michael Lively, Christine Wilson, Amiee Lively, Robert and Robin Pigg, Troy and Shani Smith, Travis Smith and Toy Smith, as well as his cousins, Cheyenne, Shaniah and Colton Lively, Daniel West, Jennifer Coleman, Curtis and Addison Smith, Trent and Casey Pigg, Ella and Conner Grider. Ryan’s happy spirit, big heart and love for life will be missed by all. Ryan was an inspiration and a joy to all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Services celebrating his life will be at 3pm on Tuesday, October 18th at Life Church (2001 NW 178th) with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service of Edmond.
